FALL INTO The Berkshires
FALL 2025
Charm that lingers, hospitality that welcomes
Tucked inside a sleepy New England village (where time slows down and cell service politely takes a step back), The Egremont Village Inn (now Buttonball Inn) is where cozy meets curious. Built in 1786, we're older than the state of Massachusetts itself—but with better coffee and less powdered wigs. Historic bones, modern beds, and a whole lot of Berkshires soul.
Plus—some fresh faces behind the scenes and a little design glow-up, all done with love to keep the heart of the place alive and the welcome even warmer.
Find Your Quiet Place
The air’s a little fresher here. The nights are a little quieter. Whether you’re escaping city noise or just looking to finally finish that book on your nightstand, our little corner of South Egremont delivers big on calm. Porch sitting, star gazing, and guilt-free naps highly encouraged.
EXPLORE our NOOKS and CRANNIES
Tucked corners and quiet chairs invite you to slow your pace. The book room holds a soft hush where time seems to loosen its grip. Down the hall, a friendly match waits for a lazy evening that drifts and lingers. Wander a little and you’ll find small comforts that turn a stay into a sweet secret.
Step Outside. Adventure Awaits.
Hiking boots, coffee cups, or spa robes—take your pick. The Berkshires are your playground. Start the day with a trail hike, pop into our restaurant, tour local galleries and shops or grab a book and plan your own well-deserved spa day right inside the Inn where a cozy day of wellness is right at your fingertips. Whether you’re chasing fresh air, fresh pastries, or a nite of live music its all here for you to explore.
Stay the Night. Or Two. Or... You Know... Move In? Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a music-filled getaway, or to finally write that novel (or at least think about it), we’ve got a room with your name on it. Soft beds, good vibes, and yes—coffee is always involved.
Food? Yep!
Wi-Fi? Free.
Pet-friendly? Absolutely.
Excuses not to come? None.
12 rooms. Endless charm. Zero pretense.
Full of history, and cozy corners
Before Airbnbs and hashtags, travelers stayed at places like ours. Since 1786, The Inn has been a resting spot for travelers, farmers, musicians, dreamers, and maybe even the occasional outlaw. We’ve kept the wide plank floors, some squeaky stairs, and the charm you’d expect from a historic Inn, while adding cozy luxury and the modern comforts today’s travelers deserve. Pull up a rocking chair. Stay awhile .
